Punch a round hole in the leather with a Round Hole Punch #15 (4.5 mm), insert a male part from the front side of the leather, place a washer part from the back, and set them with the designated setting tool.
Punch a hole in the leather with a PRO Thonging Chisel - 3 mm (1 Prong) and such, insert a female part from the front side of the leather, place a washer part from the back, fold the claws inward and strike them.
