Tatami-beri is edging cloth for tatami's long-side direction.
Thin and firm cloth with crispness. Recommendable for use as an inlay for leather goods and such with oriental touch.
Selvedge finish allows you to create small items by making use of the width.


Asanoha (hemp leaves) : It is also called "Takedabishi" since the pattern was used as Takeda clan's family crest.
The pattern was commonly used for swaddling clothes with a hope of baby growing well like hemp.
In the Edo period ,a Kabuki actor wore kimono with the pattern and become widely popular among young girls.
